It couldn't be easier to make and it only takes an hour.
You'll need:
3 cups flour (I used all purpose)
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup sugar
1 (12 oz) can of beer (Any will do)
1/2 cup melted butter (recipe says a 1/4 cup will do fine)
Preheat over to 375*
Sift together dry ingredients. (I've become fond of using a food processor to "sift" dry ingredients.)
Add beer to sifted dry ingredients and stir until completely mixed (make sure to get the dry mixture off the bottom of the bowl well incorporated) I also added a tablespoon of minced garlic, but it's not necessary.
Pour into a greased loaf pan.

(At this point feel free to top with your favorite herb or spice. I use garlic and rosemary - and the crust is always The Wife's favorite part)
Bake for 1 hour (Check occasionally. I only baked mine for 50 minutes)
Take our of pan and rest on a wire rack (I took our microwave rack out and used it) for about 10-15 minutes...Or at least it's supposed to rest for a short time. The crust on this bread is out of this world and The Wife had picked most of it off before it had time to cool.
