Pearlz Oyster Bar

We stopped into Pearlz Oyster Bar for a late afternoon drink/snack. This is a relatively small sized bar - a few booths along the one wall, the bar on the opposite wall and a few high top long rectangle tables in the middle. Pearlz is very casual. The front doors are kept open which carry the outdoors right into the bar.

The oysters here were wonderful, as we expected it being an oyster bar. We ended up ordering 3 dozen steamed gulf oysters. We also got the fried oysters, which were delicious - fried to perfection with a spicy buffalo type sauce and blue cheese dressing. I had not seen fried oysters served like this before, but it might be my new favorite way. We also had the mahi tacos, which were okay, nothing special but then again, their specialty is the oyster!

Service was good. The steamed oyster shells were difficult to get open and waitress offered to have them re-steam them and then she shucked them herself, which was above and beyond what many casual places will do.

We would definitely stop into this little gem again for a bite to eat!
