Key to the Cure

I want to tell ya'll about one of the most fun and fabulous events coming up in Richmond.  The Key to the Cure event at Saks Fifth Avenue benefits the Massey Cancer Center.  It's coming up on Thursday, October 21st, beginning at 6 P.M.

The Husband & I went to this event for the first time last year and had the best time! The Saks store at Stony Point shuts down to the public and plays host to this amazing evening.  Area restaurants (Wild Ginger, Six Burner, TJ's & Mezzanine to name a few) have stations set up where they showcase the talents of their chefs with creations that can't be found on their menus.  There are also several open bars set up throughout the store where mixologists like Bobby Kreuger are serving up fantastic cocktails. We had so much delicious food last year, I thought both of us were going to bust!

There will also be live music from Emme St. James and various other entertainment.  One of the really neat things this year will be a "White Coast Fashion Show" featuring cancer survivors and researchers as models of lab coats designed by various artists. Richmond native and famous jewelry designer, Temple St. Clair will also be on hand.

For those of you looking to do a little of shopping, you will receive a 20% discount on most items in the store!

What's most important, is that 100% of the ticket sales ($100 per ticket) go directly to the Massey Cancer Center! I really hope that each of you will consider attending this wonderful event and supporting such a great cause.
