Fig Appetizer

I made these this past weekend and they are simple and beautiful. They look fancy, but are easy to whip up. Everyone loved them and they are delicious!!

1 long thin loaf of French bread
honey
15-20 fresh, ripe figs (I prefer California figs)
1 log of goat cheese
1 package of prosciutto

Slice french bread into 3/4 inch slices. Spread enough goat cheese on each slice to cover, but not thickly. Cut ends off of each fig and then slice each fig in half. Tear apart prosciutto into long enough pieces to wrap around each fig once. Place on goat cheese. Drizzle honey over each slice. Bake at 375 degrees until prosciutto turns darker and crispy. Serve warm.
