Spicy Orange Garlic Shrimp

I found this simple recipe on a wonderful blog, The Pioneer Woman. I served this atop jasmine rice. It was great - spicy and citrusy. Perfect for us shrimp lovers!! I will definitely be making this again.

Spicy Orange Garlic Shrimp

2 dozen 26-30 per pound deveined shrimp (I actually used the
3/4 cup orange juice
2-4 cloves of garlic
3 tbsp salted butter
1/2 tsp ground cayenne pepper
1 tsp old bay seasoning

Thaw & peel shrimp. Dry the peeled shrimp by patting them with a paper towel.

Thinly slice the garlic cloves. Add the garlic to the orange juice. Measure out & add all of the spices to the juice as well.

In a large skillet over high heat, melt 2 of the tbsps of butter. Once butter has melted, add shrimp. Cook them for about 30-60 seconds & begin flipping them over starting with the ones placed in the pan first. Cook for another 30-60 seconds. Remove the cooked shrimp from the pan, leaving the heat on high.

Once the butter & drippings begin to smoke ever so slightly, add the juice mixture to the pan & give it a good stir. Add the last tbsp of butter to the sauce. After a few minutes of cooking & occasionally stirring, sauce should be slightly thicker.

Return the shrimp to the pan & toss to coat.
